Most of the time when someone is looking me up online it’s
because they do not know me and have not worked with me before and they are
trying to figure out a few things.
1.
Is this person competent?
2.
Does this person care?
3.
What would it be like to work with her and her
team?
4.
What is she like? Will I like her?
So decided to just address the elephant in our online
virtual room and answer your questions the best that I can.
Am I competent?
With over 20 years of experience in Real Estate and even
more in marketing and sales, I like to think that I am. Am I good at everything? NO. I
wish I was, and I am not. What I am good
at; Consulting with my clients and gaining a clear understanding of their goals
before getting started. Knowing what
areas and types of home will improve your life in the ways you like. Helping create a detailed plan, in advance,
to help you get the best possible home at the best price if you are buying and
planning well in advance of your sales date to help you save money and maximize
your profit on your sale. Helping you
make the transition from one home to another.
I am a Certified Negotiations Expert as well.
I am not so good at keeping track of detailed paperwork and
so I have staff for that, and I tend to get lost when driving, so I use
GPS.
Does she care?
I like to think I really do.
I know I often talk people out of doing a transaction if it’s not
actually going to help them meet the goals, they have that I’ve identified in
their free consultation. I always make
sure that you, as my client, know all your options before you move forward with
buying or selling. Much of my business
comes from referrals from past clients and returning clients. No one comes back or refers their friends to
anyone that did not care about them.
What is it like to work with me and my team?
Well, whether you are buying or selling, we first seek to
completely understand your needs and situation before giving suggestions or
advice. We do this through a free
consultation and through ongoing dialogue once we begin working together. If, after the consultation it looks like a
good fit to work together, then we complete giving you disclosures, so you know
all sorts of essential details about what you are about to do, along with
hiring papers so we can officially go to work for you. Don’t worry, we get paid only after we
deliver the results, either helping you close on a new property, or helping you
close the sale of one you own. When you
are a buyer, most of the time all or almost all of what we get paid comes from
the Seller’s side of things. If you are
a seller there is not dime out of pocket until closing.
I have support and a lot of that support comes from family
members who also belong to my team. My
son Sam is a wonderful property specialist who does showings, holds open
houses, serves the on the ground needs of listing clients and much more. Joeleah helps with admin and client services
coordination. You likely won’t see her,
but she will be keeping things going smoothly.
For your convenience we offer signing electronically and
will use those systems to cut down on your gas bill and save you time when
things need to be signed. We will be
available to discuss and consult throughout the process. I am good about answering my phone and texts
unless it’s well after business hours, or I am with another client, in my Bible
meeting or riding my horses. If I can’t
pick up or respond when you reach out, I will reach out shortly thereafter.
Our team’s goal is to be sure you are well educated at every
step; we make your decisions for you. We
ensure your decisions are educated and you understand the pros and cons.
Who am I and will you like me?
I am not sure if you will like me or not, but that is none
of my business and while I work hard to be kind and fair to everyone, I don’t
intend to change just to make you happy.
That would not be good for me even if I could and if I were to pretend
to, that would not be honest with you. I
am not everyone’s flavor. I am a patient
person and I also work with great passion and intensity when it comes to
serving others. Because of this I also
have firm boundaries when working with clients in a professional setting. You can expect to be treated well and caring
for you at a high level will be a priority for me.
A bit about me personally.
I was married in 1986. Still
married to the same guy, only we are both a bit older now…we have 4 kids. I’ve lived all over Washington in addition to
moving when I was a military wife around the country a bit. I’ve also worked in sales, marketing, food
service, done factory work, sales and been a birth attendant in the past. I have horses, dogs, cats, chickens, bunnies,
and goats (and a few other assorted beings) in addition to the kids and
husband. I love to cook and write and do
Bible study and read. Of course, with
being a full-time professional and running our farm it’s hard to have time for
all that. It’s a good thing I am rather
high energy. I have given up folding
laundry and mopping floors to have more time.
(don’t worry I have delegated these things)
If you are still reading wow…. can’t believe it because I
WAY over explained everything, but a very complete explanation is what a lot of
my clients are looking for so….
If all this sounds good, let’s make a time to meet for your
consultation so I can invest in learning more about you….it’ll be fun.
